How many days notice does a landlord have to give for a rent increase in Dubai?

A landlord must give at least 90 days written notice before the lease renewal date to propose any rent increase. If the notice is not given within this timeframe, the increase is void and the contract renews at the existing rent under the same terms.

How much notice does a landlord have to give for eviction in Dubai?

A landlord must give 12 months notice via notary public or registered mail to evict a tenant in Dubai. The notice must state a valid legal reason. Without proper 12-month notice, the eviction is not valid and the tenant can remain in the property.

What happens if my landlord misses the 90-day notice deadline?

If the landlord does not give 90 days written notice before your lease renewal date, any proposed rent increase is void. Your contract automatically renews on the same terms (same rent, same duration). You do not need to agree to any increase.
